I'm working on a large order of flies on brooch pins, I'm calling them
the Diamond Series. The project is for a dinner the American Fly
Fishing Museum is having to present it's Heritage award to Paul Volcker.
The body is gold tinsel with a silver oval rib and tag. The wing starts
with Green, red, white and blue floss stacked and topped with a wing of
either black bear, white arctic fox, blue arctic fox, pink fur
(undecided) and a yellow arctic fox. The fur colors represent the
different diamond colors. And then the topping is golden pheasant.
The framed salmon fly is of similar colors, tied by Roger Plourde.
I did get my real work schedule reduced, due to a lack of Medicaid
funding in NH this week, so will have more time to tie flies.
