Hi Rick:

I'm not sure how this works without knowing the choice of other participants
otherwise there is the possibility of duplication of popular style and size.
Does each participant receive 1000 hooks? Are the hooks genuine Dai-riki (not
to be confused with Daiichi) or a chinese knock-off? The hook number system
appears similar to Dai-Riki's. I looked at the hopper style but they are $70.44
per 1000.

When Dai-Riki first came out (Dan Baileys) they were made in Japan, then later
in Korea, now ????

Mustad hooks are now made in China and Mustad have been hemorrhaging big $ and
have just been taken over by another Norwegian company or financial group.

Although I still use certain Mustad and Partridge hooks (made in the same
Chinese Mustad owned chinese factory) I must admit that I don't have the same
confidence that I have with a japanese hook. Maybe it is because the Japanese
made such good swords and their steel is excellent.
