Hi Ron,

I think what a splitback nymph is, is a nymph such as a hares ear tied as normal BUT it as a wing which comes out of the thorax area with the wing case pulled over as normal but with it goes eother side of the wing.

I had one which had a small wing of snowshoe rabbit.
