Sam,
Not too long ago the list was real active, it just seems we lost some members
that used to post all the time. The main thing is to ask questions so that the
replies will be posted. You may be a newcomer on the list but I see by your
background that you are not new to flyfishing and tying. We have some on the
list that are new to flyfishing and some of us old toots. This list is like
family and a lot of us know one another personally.
Just last week a number of us attended the Sowbug show here in Arkansas, one is
from Ohio. He is on this list. I would like to see this list come back to what
it was a year or so ago. Maybe we need some newcomers to let that happen.
I started tying flies in 1945 and wrapped my first bamboo rod about that same
time. I am now into bamboo rodmaking and have been for the past 13 years. I
tyed for the shops for four years and almost burned out on tying. I do about
six shows a year as a tyer. My health problems is keeping me from doing much
fishing as I am having a problem wading and I hate to fish from a boat.
What type of flies do you tie and what type of flyfishing do you do.
Tony
