>From what I've read, lipping a Bass and holding it vertically causes minimal >harm to the fish. But torqueing them horizontal can cause damage to the jaw. Especially with heavier fish. Makes sense to me. The last bass I saw caught was by my 5 year old grandson Ethan. A whopping 8 inch monster. I don't know who was more excited, him or me. Which reminds me I should be taking him and his three sisters fishing again soon. We are taught to hold fish supporting their bellies etc but a lot of Bass get swung on to decks and held up by their mouths. I am not critising and dont want to start any arguments, just curious if it does harm the fish or not.
