Tim, If you'll send me your mailing address, I'll send you some sample flies using my dubbing technique. Even with the SLF you were using in the video, it ties a tight, segmened, tapered body in as many colors as will fit on the hook. No ribbing is required, and the fly looks buggier than a ribbed fly. Works with ANY dubbing, natural, synthetic, hackles, peacock, blended or raw fur. And, once you are prepared, it takes about 2 minutes to tie that fly. Tony, Denny, and many VFBers have the DVD and use the technique. The very least you'll get is free flies. You can contact me off-list at dordes @ bresnan . net (remove spaces to use).
