Thanks for the explanation. I was aware that most of the fly tying thread we 
buy was re-spooled, dyed and sometimes waxed but I thought that there were 
still a few that made their own. Part of Gudebrod's demise was because they 
lost a contract to supply dental floss. Presumably they did not make it but 
instead re-spooled and packaged it.
