You mean you can’t identify your own namesake??? LOL.... I was pretty surprised 
when I read it the other month, but it said that in many lakes, up to 80-90% of 
the panfish were “hybrids”.  Chuck

I question it being a true redear also.  Perhaps the AZ division of Fish & 
Wildlife should do some DNA testing.  It looks more like a hybrid bluegill to 
me, but I'm no ichthyologist (in spite of the name!)
