Well folks, I guess I shouldn’t have sent that last post about the fires in Cal. and the danger here in AZ. because there is a horrific fire burning in one of the prettiest streams in AZ. It started just above Slide Rock State Park, and was ‘human caused’. Probable someone throwing a lit cigarette out the window. This area is very thick with tree and bush growth. It is an extremely beautiful drive from Sedona up to Flagstaff thru the canyon with switch backs and cool weather. Many people take their convertibles and motorcycles up there during the spring and summer. Lots of people fish Oak Creek Canyon,I for one, but not for a while. The ash and debris is going to take years to over come. This is going to be a very bad year for forest fires. Just this morning there is a new fire burning just a few miles north of one of my fishing holes. I was hoping to get there in a week or so for my fishing trip, but it looks like it may be over for the summer. Thank You, Alan Di Somma Phoenix, AZ.
