Turkey biots have a leading fringe-like edge that helps get a segmented look.
Goose biots from a few feathers back from the lead flight feathers imitate this.

Subject: [VFB] Question Re: Biots

Hi VFB'ers,

I'm lookin' at a pattern for a Catskill style Pink Lady that calls for Body =
turkey biot. So go figure, I don't have any turkey biot; can I substitute
goose biot?

#2. What's the basic difference betwixt the two??

Thanks!
