I'll give it a whirl, specially since I have about a zillion popper heads already cut out. Chuck

Subject: [flyfishingandflytyingforpanfish] New swap

Sometimes I'm I glutton for punishment. This is one of those times.

If anyone's up for a popper swap, I'll host it. I'm posting this to two
lists (Panfish & VFB), so the first entrants will be selected on the
basis of the time stamp of their e-mails, no matter which list they are on.

I hate tying multiples of the same fly, so it will be limited to the
first sixteen (16) entrants.

If you're like me, I have to tie up about 5-6 before I get my pattern
"perfected" so I have lots of extras. Therefore, you only need to tie
15 poppers. You will NOT get your own popper back.

Poppers are tedious for me, so let's put a 2+ month time limit on this
one. Poppers must be in the U.S. mail by Friday, October 31. Yep.
Halloween. But that'll give me time to get them sorted and mailed back
out before Thanksgiving. We're going to be out of town sometime in mid
to late November so I'd really like to get it over before we leave.

Okay. Remember: first sixteen. This is NOT negotiable. FIre up your
entries. The ONLY requirement is: 15 poppers. They can be deer hair,
foam, balsa, shoe rubber, whatever, just as long as it's a popper. And
keep 'em turned the right way - no sliders allowed. ;-)

Rules are simple:
Fifteen (15) poppers (any type, any size, any color, any material)
Postmarked to me by October 31.
Include appropriate return money for postage (and packaging if you
dont have returnable packages). Usually 3-4 bucks inside the U.S. will
cover it, since the bubble-pak envelopes run around a buck. If you want
them back by priority mail, that now runs 6 bucks!!

My address:

*For any of you who have my address in your address book, the local
government, in all their brilliance, changed the name of our street from
Brushwood Way to Brushwood Lane after 40 years. I think what happened
was they put up new street signs and saw ours was printed wrong. It was
easier for them to make about 20 families to change all their addresses
instead of correcting the mistake on the street sign.

HAPPY POPPIN'
