Pops That sounds good to me. Specially since I did something last night I had
no idea I was gonna do. I have hundreds of popper heads in a big pllastic
Hobby Lobby craft box, sorted by colors, sizes etc, but instead, I went online
to J. R. Stockard late last night and ordered different popper heads. So, it
sounds like I am the one who needs to get my bearings.

If anybody is wondering how to "drill out" good homemade popper heads, get the
2mm sticky backed foma from Wal Mart, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, or any crafts
store, glue them together then go to Harbor Freight and order the set of
"cutters" listed in the link below. They work GREAT.
They also sell a hand unch set, but I found that these that attach to your
drill work a LOT better as long as you don't let the bits get so hot that they
start to melt the foam.

If they work sooo great, then why didn't you use them you big dummy you might
be asking yourself about me?? I know that's what my wife asked me when I told
her to subtract my order from the bank's balance LOL, but the ones I ordered
are a hard foam and are "molded" into a shape that I cannot make. Well, yes I
can, using either hard foam, or balsa wood, and my dremel tool, but I was too
lazy for that, and they are pretty cheap from Stockard's #1, (about 30 cents
each I think, when it takes me 30 minutes to carve one out of hard foam and/or
balsa doing it myself, and #2 I needed some other items from them as well, so I
figured that if I'm going to pay a shipping charge for $10, might as well pay
the SAME shipping fee on a $50 order. And not only that, but we all know that
opening a Fly Tying order (at least for me it is) like a kid at Christmas,
opening the presents to see what Santa brought me LOL...

Oh, and NO, I don't get a kickback fro Stockards. I was going to order from
Jann's Netcraft, but I needed a spool or scarlet red silk thread and Jann's
don't carry it. Speaking of that, does anybody know of a site that no matter
what tying materials one might need, they almost always have it ALL??? Reason
I ask is that S&H think. I'd rather hav only one S&H charge.

Janns and Stockards comes pretty close, but like I said, I needed that silk
thread as it makes heads that I guess the fish think look like gills and they
catch more fish, but regular tying thread gets wet with head cement and turns a
darker color than the silk thread does, and I can tell a difference in the
number of fish I catch using the silk vs other types of thread. Go figure since
fish have a brain the size of a pea LOL.. Chuck

The popper swap is already up to 11 entries. 5 to go.

Let's tempt people:
The more I think about building 15 poppers when I have to learn how, two months
