I had Grant's book in my collection that I sold. That book is just a soft cover
self printed book that sells for high dollar if you can find a copy.
I also had MacKenzie's book that is a good book. I really regret selling mu
collection of tying books.

Hi Chuck,
The book is considered THE  book on the subject.  I believe there was also an
article in Flytyer magazine on the subject.

Folks: Anybody here know of a good site that has a lot of
hair hackled flies?? I don’t mean spun/stacked deer hair as I know how to do
that (so so)  and have books and videos on it as well. I just bought the
book listed below, but went to Amazon, ebay, and you tube hunting videos and
just couldn’t seem to find much outside of deer and/or elk hair, and a bunch of
hair WINGED flies, which I already know how to do, but not much in the way of
hair that completes the circle to form a  360 degree hair hackle. I may end
up having to get out my bench side tying guide, go page by page, find the names
of hair hackled flies, then punch in that particular pattern’s name into you
tube, but I’m lazy so thought I’d ask here first LOL.  BTW, does anybody
own the Gordon MacKenzie book I ordered as shown below?? If so, is it a good
book to learn these patterns???  Or, if anybody knows of any hair hackled
patterns that would be good for bluegill and/or bass, please let me know. I
have
TONS of all sorts of hair with no patterns to use it on yet... Thanks,
Chuck
