Hello, Meister JimmyD, Hope you had a great weekend.
We picked peaches, worked on the house, did more un-packing, set up my home office, re-set up my fly room, and made a giant pot of seafood gumbo and had the kids over. Yes, it was Labor day week-end, heavy on the labor. I think our plums are ready to pick, so I’m going to have to take a break later today. Have so many plums the branches are sagging and breaking, like it was for the Saturn peaches. Cherries and apples are done and picked, but have figs, more plums, and regular peaches yet to go. Blackberries have been producing a few dozen every couple of days. This is amazing. Fresh fruit on trees that hasn’t frozen on the limb. Idaho has a much milder climate that Wyoming, but I do miss the crisp clean air. And you’ll be happy to know there’s a lot of warm-water fisheries close by, and then trout, salmon, and steel-head fishing just north of us. Should be a hoot. How’re your feet doing?
