Make friends with a Llama? Actually, I bought some quarter ounce
samples of alpaca when I lucked into a alpaca show in Ft Worth. Its
beautiful stuff very soft and long, and they are cute. Would suggest
you try your local weaving supply store to see if they have any bulk, or
roving in small samples.
