Folks: My doc just called (not many docs these days call themselves, but have a
nurse do it, so that impressed me too) and said the main “cancer” he removed
WAS in fact basal cell carcinoma. Good news is that it’s the most common and
most treatable. And he thinks he got it all, but said to just keep an eye on it
and come see him in 6 weeks after the site had time to completely heal, and
he’s look at it to make sure nothing was growing back, which would indicate
that he did not get it all. It’s a relief to me, as I was sure it was
cancerous, but was hoping it was NOT melanoma, which is was NOT, Thank God.
Thanks to all for the thoughts and prayers. The second thing he removed was
just a benign mole that happened to resemble a cancer ie turned darker
recently, was asymmetrical etc. So, I’m glad for that too. Oh, and that nerve
he happened to hit and became inflamed and hurt from my neck, shoulder and to
my left elbow has healed as well, so it don’t feel like I have a painful crick
in my neck all the time as well. That was just one of those things and the
fist lydocaine needle shot just happened to hit a pretty big nerve and inflamed
it. Chuck
