Allan, I would suggest you give Tenkara a try. The rods are lighter,
not a lot of false casting, and it'll get you back on the water. You're
limited to length of cast and size of fish, but it beats watching Bill
Dance on the boob tube. A 12-15 inch white bass is a hell of a fight on
Tenkara.

It would really be great if you could make it.
I haven't been able to fish since May. I went fishing during our
white bass spawning run. I had pulled my rotator cuff a little before
I left. I found the heart of the run and caught 15 of those feisty
finny creatures in a little over 30 minutes. I finally had to quit
because my shoulder hurt so badly. I'm not complaining. I'm
bragging! :-)
Unfortunately, it the shoulder still hurts. It even hurts to cast a fly!
Get that project far enough along you can take a 1-week vacation in March.
Also, bitte, give me an update on Anna.
