Agree with Henk that movable pegs are not necessary unless one has a lot of time and wants to experiment with different tapers. My first board was temporary and just had 16 penny nails for pegs and used a drill to furl one leg at a time. Later I saw a setup where both legs are furled at the same time and have built one of those setups. I mostly use 4 lb or 2 lb mono for my leaders for warm water fishing, but also make some with 6/0 uni thread for the 3 wt rod and more delicate trout fishing.
