I’m going to work on making the video more entertaining than a normal tutorial.
That means a lot of clips of the materials and tools used, comparing them to
normal. Then I’ll have section of the actual tie. Since the tie itself is not
practical for most tiers, I would think entertainment is the ultimate goal. And
it’s even very hard to get ahold of the hooks these days. I’ll make sure the
video clips migrate time to time to me tying without glasses or a magnifying
glass just for proof of naked-eye tying. A few years more and I’ll probably
need a magnifying glass to tie these.

Thread check. I would not know what denier this is, but it’s close to 50/0
denear as I can tell. The hand-selected thread I use is so fine that one
12”+/- strand of it floats up and away and disappears in a couple of seconds,
like real baby-spider float-silk strands. I sent Hans some awhile back. It’s
from a clothes-line that was clear tube over a spun multi-filament core. I
hope to be able to show all of this on the video, if I can still find a piece
of the clothes-line in my stock-piles. The bobbin looks like it is hanging in
space unless the light shines off of it just right. My camera can catch it,
don’t know if the video camera can.

I’ll try to mix some humor in also, as I am want to do. AAMOF, a fishing
sequence with me catching a small trout on a #32 dropper would be sweet. A #32
Copper John would be the ticket for a dropper.

Can't wait to see the video, Don. I have a couple spools of the UNI-Caenis
thread. Label says it is a 20 denier thread and is really fine. I've only ever
tried tying with it a couple times and it is quite fragile. Cudos to you Don
for tying at both extremes of the size scale.

I am sure that you have a much lighter touch then me. I am too heavy with my
pressure and no matter how I try I still break the Guedebrod, even when I take
it off the spools and use a regular bobbin?

Some mistakes are just too much fun to make only once.
