As best I can tell I'm the only present VFB member who remembers Fly Fishing World (circa 2002). Jimmy D and I were charter members and he designed a crest for the group. We corresponded privately on several subjects including Dyn-O-Mite, a sauce created by one of his friends. Jimmy shipped a bottle to me from Texas. He also sent me an engraved paperweight for my 2001 participation in what at the time was the longest-running VFB thread, "Furled & Braided Leaders." While we never had the pleasure of meeting face to face (although I tried to get to Sowbug once and then on to Texas), the sad news of his passing puts another mark in a column filling all too quickly.
