Been lurking a bit, so I felt I should send an email. I'm working full time (from home) and in a Masters degree program (online 100%) at Drexel University full time. It doesn't leave much time for fishing, but I never was one to brave the cold temps to fly fish much. Mid-terms are coming up, and for one paper, the professor is preventing the use of 1st person pronouns as well as prepositions. I can understand the 1st person pronouns being removed, as that is common - state the facts, and leave the "feelings" or personal opinions out of the paper. But prepositions? That is absurd. Here is an example I have of what the resultant paper will contain:
Example: "What are you doing, Pete?" The prior version of the response: "I'm eating with the family." Professor's version of response: "Eating the family." Therefore, I must conclude this professor is pro-cannibalism.
