I couldn’t believe that was only the second time I’d picked up a spinning reel in 15 yrs. That means, that since Daddy taught me to fish with an old Zebco 202 at the age of five, I fished with spinning/casting etc reels for about 42 yrs other than a few times as a teen with my Uncle, I’ve spinning/casting rod and reeled for 42 yrs, then fly casting for 15 yrs. Being a Christian though if I could only sin twice in 15 yrs, I’d be the most perfect Christian who ever lived. Dang I’m getting old. I saw my doc Monday and we were talking about the Corona virus, and I was telling him about how all the warnings, it is the elderly most “at risk” and I told him “shoot, I are one” LOLOL…Time flies when your having fun, Chuck

It was 62 and sunny this afternoon, so myself and my grand daughters Cheyenne (15 yrs old) and Katie (13 yrs old) went to the nearby state owned lakes. Cheyenne and Katie got skunked, and I could one little ten inch largemouth bass. Nothing to write home about, (I didn’t even get a phone cause I was a city block or so from the camera and/or phone which was in the car ) but to get out in the sun after 25 o the last 30 days of pouring down rain it was great. And I must confess, I caught the ass on a spinning rod and reel, as the wind was gusting to 35 mph and sustained at 20-25 mph, so we used 1/8” jigs. We first tried flyrods, but that wind blw the fly, line, leader etc every way but straight. Anyway, the good Lord willing, we’ll get out a lot more this yr than we have the last two yrs because of my medical issues.
