OUCH! I have had friends do this and have attempted to do it to myself but not that badly.

Caught four more before heading for home. Five fish total. Plus a big guy that broke off. 66 inches and about 170 lbs. At home I cut the hook with side cutter pliers and removed the point. I've always said my main reason for using barbless hooks is this: The "Catch" I most like to release is ME! I usually do the Tee shirt test on all my hooks. But I must have missed this one.
