STEVE,
I did get your previous request...maybe it didn't get to your
system???!?!? I'll repeat my letter;
The Reverend Lang is tyed the Wulff hairwing style; upright,
devided wings. It's O.K. to use Black superfine dubbing instead
of poly dubbing.
I've had many enjoyable days on various freestone waters in the
Sierra Nevadas fishing the Reverand Lang. Most trout seem to go
for it, thought I've noticed i tend to take alot more Browns on
it than I do on Yellow Humpies...thought I'm not certian what
the ratio would be. The white Calf body wings really show up
well
and i'm certian the black body adds to the effectiveness. I
messed up on recommended hooks, I should have typed a TMC 900BL,
instead i typed 500Bl...which doesn't exsist. the Synthetic
dubbing along with the Calf Body hair & the 6-8 wraps of Brown
hackle really make this little known "killer" really float all
day. I've taken the beautiful Volcano Creek Goldens on this
dryfly as well.
all this chat about Reverand Langs has got me wanting to check
how my supplies are doing in my boxes...might just tye up a half
dozen just to satisfy my needs..
                                             DEAN...
