Byard, go to the "Settings" menu under "Special," and within that to "Styled Text." You'll get a lot of choices,"Plain Text Only" probably being the one you want. As for the thoughtless junk that continues to comes in in html, try using the "Open in Browser" choice from the "File" menu. Hope this helps, Dan
