I've been thinking about doing this for awhile. Ala Jimmy's
"QUOTE OF THE DAY" type feature. But i honestly felt that a "FLY
OF THE DAY" would be too much for everyone. A fly of the Week
would allow everyone interested to pratice the pattern over the
course of a week...sorta like "homework" I assign when teaching
Fly Tying lessons. I'll mix it up with present day flies & Old,
not known too well patterns. I have a rather extensive
Library/files of Patterns & I'm sure i could do this thing for a
long time.
I'd like to get feedback form folks on the List about doing
this. I'll basically give the Dressing & whatever History I can
find, also personal experiance with it as well.
Please let the list know what you think of "FLY OF THE WEEK" &
if it's what you'd like.
