No, I don't think you are nuts (or any more so than the rest of us) for the 
bath tub thing... My neighbors look at me kinda funny when I head to the 
swimming pool, at the condos where I live, with a flyrod to do some quickie 
field testing. Pool and bath tub testing of fly patterns shouldn't be a 
problem unless said waters are populated at the time of testing. <VBG>
