I double checked the
regs and Nahwatzel is a year around lake. The normal
regs apply, and
there is a slot limit on bass. If you're really going to
fish for bass in
late December, all I can say is good luck.
To get to the lake, take
I-5 to Olympia, then 101 West through Olympia. Take
3 North towards
Shelton and stay on 3 until you get to the Shelton City
Center/Matlock
exit. Don't take the earlier Shelton exit when the highway
ends, just
stay in the left lane until you get to the City Center exit.
Turn
left, towards Matlock off of the exit. Drive forever. The lake is on
your
right, past Lake Nahwatzel drive (beach drive, something like that,
you
really can't miss the lake).
I'll be at the boat launch at
approx. 8:30. fat guy, blue tube, black pickup
with Seattle Univ. School
of Law sticker in the back.
