GT,

I went to school in Selinsgrove. Used to fish near Berwick for carp. Had a
great year in the mighty Susquehanna this year the few times I got there for
smallmouth. Fished mostly near the Statue of Liberty by Marysville and near
the boat launch in Millersburg. Those fish love the clousers. It's nice to
be able to wade pretty much where-ever you want to. Pretty dramatic being
out there at dusk during the whitefly hatch.

Bob,

I live in S. Williamsport, right on the Susquehanna River. In fact, if you
walk out my back door and go north for 250 yds, you're knee-deep, or over
your head right now, in some great smallmouth water. I grew up on a small
farm nearby with a great small trout stream, Larry's Creek, flowing through
it. We have a hard-core group of 4 or 5 flyfishers that fishes for anything
with fins within a 1.5 to 2 hour-drive radius. And we do it year round.
Luckily, we have VERY understanding wives and families! We try to change our
focus from time to time in order to learn different aspects of the sport.
This upcoming season, we're going to concentrate on caddis for trout (tying
standard patterns, experimenting with new ones, and fishing only caddis
patterns when there is not a hatch). We are going to focus on carp for our
warmwater fishing. If you ever need any info about this part of the state,
or if you get over this way to fish, let me know.

GT
