Carp are a blast I have only been able to to hook two
very small ones but they performed admirably.
Someone calls them the bonefish of freshwater, well I
have never caught bonefish they remind me more of
Redfish in very skinny water, easy to spook hard to 
keep any type of control and picky as a huge bluegill. 
Possibley the perfect freshwater fighting fish in the US
Plus they are very abundant in the lower 48 and very
often sought out.
