Well, that got things going, didn't it? Wasn't looking
to set folks at one another's throats, but it was kind
of fun to see the list woke up a little bit.
Personally, I think it's great that there are so many
on the list who are willing to state their opinion in
no uncertain terms. My own feelings pretty much side
with Byard, there's a certain line-maybe a fuzzy or
debatable one, but still it's there-where once you
cross it, you don't have a fly any more, you have
something else. A spin-a-fly or fly-peller or
something....Not that there's anything wrong with it,
it's not illegal, immoral or something you need to tie
where the kids can't see.
As the philosopher Voltaire (I think) once said, "I
may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death
your right to hang shiny doo-dads on your fly, if'n
you want to." When you get down to it, it's just
fishin'.
