Thanks
to all for kind words about my new hopper.
Steve,
I took 28 day from start to finish. This fly can be tied using only tying way.
You put a foam to the hook and do a shape with help of tying thread , then cover
all epoxy. As for materials i just choused simplest way. Actually i know haw to
make match more realistic hopper using mostly natural materials. The only
problem is time, difficult to find 600 free hours.
Keep tying

How long does it take to create something like this? With a wooden body, are you shaping with a knife and rasp?
Most of the 'Realistic' Flies that I've seen use synthetic and natural fibrous materials, Yours is constructed using epoxy, film, wood, and foam much like a model builder. What gave you the inspiration to use these materials?
Thanks for sharing your creation with us.
