I have a Formica top..it is wonderful..and I try and keep glue drips to a
minimum by shielding the hook eye with my other hand when I flip it with my
finger to spring the glue out of the eye. Of course, the hand gets a bit of
glue. The other thing I do is clean up glue drips with toluene..it is a
great cleaner and the Formica stays great. But, and this a trick I learned
from another tier somewhere, Before each long tying session, I spray the
whole Formica surfaces with Pledge (or whatever kind you have) furniture
wax. This makes many of the drips fail to stick and they slide off much
easier. Hope this helps. Joyce
