I fully agree George. Selective harvest is the best practice in my not so humble opinion. I do keep fish for my table as well as other game. Most of the salmon here (Michigan) are stocked. Most stocked trout are fin clipped. I'll keep a few of those, where legal. I do spend a great deal of time fishing no kill sections of streams. The fishing can be fantastic, but generally it is a very technical & challenging fishery. Wild fish I almost always release.
