Anvil made the Thompson Scissors and they were marked Thompson Ice Stainless.
Not sure when they stopped making them, They had the darker red ( Burgundy)
plastic covered finger holes. The newer ones I believe are a lighter red. The
Anvil Scissors now sport Blue finger holes.
I am almost sure that the Thompson's you have were made by Anvil. These were
some of the best scissors I have used. As I mentioned, I have been using mine
for 13 years. I had a pair of the newer Thompsons, believe me, they were not
the same.
