Mullet are vegetarians. Pattern by Steve Kantner, Florida Fly: Bisquick Nymph - resembles dissolving bread (local canepolers use bisquick and oatmeal, plant derivitives).
Hook: #14 Mustad Sproat 3906 Body: White antron yarn Thread: White 8/0 Lay a long strand of white antron yarn along the shank of the hook, allow a short end to extend beyond the bend. Tie the rest down by wrapping thread forward to hook eye. Wind the remaining antron around the hook shank back and forward forming a foot ball shape. Pull a small amount down below the hook eye to form legs before tying off. Trim the tail and legs to 1/16". Steve substitutes polypropylene for antron if he wants the pattern to float more when fishing just before dark. Steve fishes them one foot below a strike indicator and uses pin point casts. Ginger M.
