Spirit River makes a good hook/bead/whatever box.  Seven compartments with curved bottoms.  I am going to experiment with the flat magnet patches that some hook retailers put in their hook packages.  I am going to glue those on the bottom of each compartment.  I suppose one could write with a permanent marker on them the size and make of the hooks to be stored there.  I also suppose that in the case that these bigger boxes are too large for your use, one could cut those magnetic into smaller pieces and still to the glue trick for hooks, etc.

If you tie a lot of large stuff, disregard this post. However, if you are like me and primarily tie trout flies, you might try the small Myrex 12 compartment flyboxes.  I have four of them which stack - are very compact for traveling yet carry around three dozen sizes of hooks as well as beads, bead chain etc.

have a 21 compartment Umpqua but the hinge arrangement
for the lid is inferior in my opinion. Any suggestions
regarding decent boxes will be appricated.
