I use Loop to Loop on my 9wt. I double the fly line and form a loop using two nail knots. Then I apply CA glue to the knots. Next I slip a small diameter section of heat shrink tubing over the knots making sure to cover the tip end of the fly line that is doubled back. Makes a very secure loop in the end of the fly line.
I tie a Perfection Loop or Surgeon's Loop in the butt end of my leader and connect to the fly line with a "handshake" connection.
