Hi I think a lot ofit has to do with how I learned to fly fish. Where I learned there was a wind that was constant. This model of the sage is a very fast rod and that is what I like about them. Also I do not fish a lot of dries so delicate presentation is not a factor for me. Sage makes slower rods also. Sage also has a good warranty. They have replaced four or five tips and one butt section that I broke. Twenty dollars postage.
