Instructions: Wrap the shank with the thread up to the bend of the hook. (appr. tip of hook). Tie in a bunch of yellow hackle fibers. Tie in the orange floss and form the rear third of the body. Secure and tie off. Tie in the rib and tie in the floss for the front two-thirds of the body. Form the remaining body. The body should have a cigar-shaped form. Rib. Tie in the wing. I used black calf tail. Alternatives are black bucktail, black bear or black squirrel tail. tie in a black neck hackle and give it a couple of wraps in front of the wing. Secure and cut off the excess. Using the thread collar it back. tie off and form a neat head. I used sift body resin to lacquer the head. The pattern is from 'Gene Kugach's Fly Fisher's Pattern Book'.
