As a couple of others have replied the weight
designation has to do with the first 30' (10 metres)
of the line. I don't think it's a one-to-one ratio
like 7 grains/ft=7wt, but it might be. I think I have
a table somewhere. With so many people checking I'm
sure someone will come up with it for you. As to
checking whether it's DT or WF, maybe you could just
compare ends. If both ends are same diameter it should
be DT or maybe level. If the reel end is smaller
diameter it would probably be WF. Hope someone will
correct me on this if my thinking if all screwed up on
this.
