Dear Joe, It sounds like a very nice rod and the price $85.00 is excellent.
I do not own a 4wt. and a travel rod would be wonderful. Please let me know if I
should send a check and where...........Thanks............Doyle T. Sowerby

Subject: [VFB] 4 piece 4 weight,
anyone?
Dear VFB,
Out of the ten rods I built for myself this winter....I have finally
decided that I want to get rid of one of them....not because of anything it
had done....but because the blank color and reel seat don't match the others.
sound crazy ? some of you may think so....others may not.....I guess its a
matter of taste....
anyway: I'd be interesed in letting it go for my costs or for a good
trade worth 85.00 or so...
its description is as follows:
its from a dark blue/green glossy 4 piece 9 foot blank, similar to the
action of a GL-2
it has an ebony wood reelseat (black wood) with titanium
color aluminum recessed into a grade AA cork reverse half wells handle...it
has black snake guides & three extra slick strippers, its own rod sock and
tube..
If anyone needs references...talk to anyone in the "stone soup / materials
swap" of last year...or others who have traded for one of my rods...(Bob
Haering, Rick Bevins, Kieth Finnleyson, Mike Belmont ect)..
Lastly, this is not a sales request from a full time "rod
builder" just a way for me to help re-cover some of the costs
associated with the cravings of a "fly fisher" who always seems to be dreaming
and scheeming for another rod, color of hackle, or new taper to try...
tight lines,
joseph.
ps. if anyone wants to see some pics from this rod, I'll be happy to email
them "off list"
