Well, WF is great for distance casting. But for closer work, and for better 
roll casting in tight quarters a DT might help a good bit. DTs are also nice 
in the fact that they can be reversed for a "new" end.

I am planning to buy a DT3F for my Redington 3/4 rod for small streams later 
this year. I currently have all WFs in my collection, but 20 years ago all my 
trout fishing on streams was on DTs and WFs were for steelheading and lake 
trout fishing. I think it will be quite valuable to have a nice quiet DT 
around for those sensitive times. :-)
