John, I haven't seen the Article yet, but those may BE my flies. I sent quite a few Awesum-hair flies to Mike Martinek Jr. for publishing in Schmookler's new magazine. I'll have to get one and check it out.
Awesum Hair is the same as GSS, but not the same as Lite-Brite. Lite-Brite is nice to make a few color accents, but the technique requires Awsum Hair, which name I gave it because Mike didn't have one for it. Now you know the only places to get it, 'cause I bought it from Mike for Byard on a special deal. As far as I know, no one else carries it.
