VFB, This past week, Joe Cornwall paid a visit to central Florida to visit a client. We spent a great afternoon flailing away and catching a bunch of largemouth on Lake George, in Ocala National Forrest.
Joe wanted to go bassin' and I was glad he was insistent. I called Ken Daubert who wrote the book on Fishing from a Yak. He was on fish and invited us to join him. It has been awhile since I have gone "bucketmouthin" and had to break out poppers and sliders tied years ago. Joe's box is VERY IMPRESSIVE. I caught most of my fish on a 1/0 white flathead slider, with some white splayed hackle. Joe caught his on a small #4 (?) white dahlberg type slider. Ken was using a foam slider. We all caught fish which made this trip a ball, and Ken caught a 5-6 lb and Joe got a couple 3+ lb fish. Very nice size for schooling bass. go to www.ggoldsmith.eboard.com click on bassin'n'yakin. You will have to shrink the pictures after you open them. Jerry Goldsmith Altamonte Springs, Fl.
