We fly fishermen(women) are always learning about, talking about mayflies
and caddis flies, stoneflies, . . .

However, if any of you were little devils like me when we were younger, you
might have scooped up the occasional moth flying around the dock, and threw
it hard on the water, eagerly waiting for the big bass to loudly gulp it
down.  If you were lucky enough to be deep in Ontario, the moths are quite
big there, making for that much more "fun" (at least it was to me as
7-year-old).

This month's National Geographic has some striking photos of various moth
species, which is what reminded me of my boyhood deviant behavior.  Today,
however, I marvel at the beauty of these "other bugs."
