Some of you may remember several months ago I said that I'd recognize the "perpetuator and pot stirrer" of the Longest Running Thread on the VFB.  Well, after viewing my "archives" on "furled and braided leaders" I came to the conclusion that the very "long winded" Paul Marriner of Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia, deserved this special recognition.  After checking with Byard, who agreed that indeed, the discussion on furled and braided leaders was the longest thread in his memory and after getting his blessing for me to use the VFB logo, I had a special marble paperweight made and sent to Paul, (who was kind enough to give me his mailing address), in recognition of his accomplishment.

paul told me today that he'd received the marble paperweight and had placed it in a prominent place on his fly tying bench as a "reminder".   If you'd like to see a pic of the paperweight, let me know and I'll be glad to send it to you.   This is also the kind of recognition pieces I'm thinking of for the "COLLEGE  SWAP". maybe this will get some more of you to join. ;~))

Have A Great Day, and thanks again, Paul for your "Epistle-istic contribution" !
