Went out to a lake yeaasterday that the crappie were starting to come in on.  One of the few times of day that it was not pouring rain.

Did catch a few crappie and gills.  Also caught some bass up to about 3 lbs.

Had one bass coming to hit the fly when it dived and turned away from the fly.  Next thing I knew was this torpedo coming by and the fly line going out.  I never had to strike as the fish was hooked.

I would gain a little line and then loose it.  A boat that was out on the lake came over so they could see what was happening.  They came near the shore and one guy brought over a net.  Told me that for a fish that big I would need a net.

Finally got it up where we could net it.  Had a 26" tiger musky.  Hooked it in the very corner of the mouth.  The guy with the net identified it as he has cauhgt the in Minnesota.

Revived it and let it go away.  I need to get a disposable camera for times like this.

Ten minutes later I hooked another one that the guys in the boat saw but I think the hook was to far into the mouth because I donated another hook to the fish.

Wind was blowing about 15 mph and the water was a little discolored.  I think that may be the reason that the tiger muskie were that close to shore.

I may never catch another on on a fly but it sure was fun.

Had to stop because I heard the rumble of thunder.  I don't wave graphite sticks in the air with lightening in the air and lead in my bottom.
