Hello Byard, Since I was too late signing up this year - please put me down for next year's 100 pcs swap!! It hurts every time I see a new email talking about how great the swap was. I truly have Caddis Envy. Hehehe!!
Thanks. Chris -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, May 24, 2002 9:54 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [VFB] Caddis '02 and a question... I just wanted to send off a quick posting to the list to say that I received my set of flies in the mail yesterday. I am honored to have been involved in such an event with you all. The scope of top-end talent here is just stunning. You all really are at the top of your craft and I really appreciate the effort that everybody obviously put into this project. The results of everybody's hard work are simply incredible. I'd also like to join everybody else who has mentioned their thanks to Byard. Your efforts with organizing the swap, keeping it moving, packing the fly boxes, putting together an awesome package and other things that I'm certainly not aware of...all I can say is wow. Thanks a lot, Byard. This swap was just unbelievable. Now here's a question I've got. I don't think I could bring myself to actually fish these flies since this was my first swap and because of the nature of the package as a whole. There are many patterns in the set that I'll duplicate, but these are keepers. Could anybody offer any suggestions on how these flies can be displayed? I noted a couple of postings where people mentioned they had them in a display case of one kind or another. I've never had flies to store or display, and I'd like to do something special with these. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again everybody! John Roth
