Curious if anyone would like to get in a "ALPINE FLY SWAP"... I think it would be alot of fun & all us Backpacking types would be able to pick up some additional "Killer Patterns" to take into the High Country this coming summer. It's simple; I'm limiting it to 12 tyers taking part....that way your not spending alot of time tying up flies. Secondly I'll set a rule that the Fly you are tying was designed for the Alpine/High Country areas....just a little thing i felt was important to include...Granted a Gold ribbed hares Ear works great in the Back country, but it wasn't designed for Alpine waters. There are alot of patterns that were designed specifically for the High Country & I think that keeping the flies tyed to ones designed for the Back country will add to the swap as a whole... Anyway I'll Swap Meister this shin-dig. Oh yeah....the flies must arrive at my house by the end of June; that way I can sort them out & get them back to you by July 1st... just in time for your summer backpack trips... Any & all are invited to sign up for this little swap...
